Last month, our ward held a primary talent show. Ellie was pretty excited to attend for her first time ever. She even wanted to play a song on the piano! So, she learned a song called "Three Little Pigs". She practiced and practiced and was ready to go. She also practiced an act with her Sunbeam class as each primary class was scheduled to perform during the talent show.
The night of the talent show, we received an email stating that the gym floor had been resurfaced and we couldn't yet put chairs on the floor...so families brought blankets to sit on; oh, and we took our shoes off and lined them along the wall in the hall and went in barefoot. It was really cool!
Something happened to Ellie that night (that weekend, actually). She was uncharacteristically shy! As in, she would barely stand with her class for the primary picture being taken; she stood off to the side during the Sunbeam performance (playing instruments and walking in a circle as a primary song played); and she sat down at the keyboard to perform and then said she didn't want to any more. As the youngest participant, she was the first individual act, so it was sweet when she got a round of applause just for going up to the front.
Temple Date
On one of our temple dates last month, we were able to snap a few pictures of ourselves. Between the beautiful flowers and the twilight, it was a gorgeous night.
And that concludes the happenings in May!

Always good to see updates from your family, Sara. Such cute kids. Love you, friend.
That is a cute idea for a primary activity and Ellie's face in those pictures is so funny! You look great by the way!
