Happy Birthday to Steve!

This year was a big birthday for Steve! He turned 40 - and he couldn't be happier at his new age!
We were happy to get a date night out to dinner and a movie. The kids were thrilled to help celebrate all day with adventures outside to gifts for Daddy to delicious lemon pie for dessert.

Everyone loved the pie.

Then it was date night! We started off with dinner at one of Steve's favorite places, Texas Roadhouse! Yes, he did sit on the saddle of embarrassment; however, Steve wasn't embarrassed at all! The servers asked him how old he wanted to be and his response was, "I'm good with 40!"

Hilarious Hunter

Hunter is a funny kid! He has funny facial expressions and an all around witty personality. 

I've been accumulating funny things he says. Here are a few.

"I put my booger in a camouflaged place so no one can find it!"

Me: "why are your shorts and undies on the bathroom floor?" H: "Ellie's towel fell in the toilet and when I pulled it out, I got wet. Don't worry though. I hung up her towel and it will soon be dry!"

Ellie was sent in to wipe Hunter's bum while I nursed. Her bracelet fell into the toilet. During her fit, Hunter said "don't worry! I got it!"

When given mac and cheese for lunch: hunter: I only want the mac, not the ham (because exactly one time ever I tried putting ham in the mac and cheese for protein...)

Can't wait to hear what comes out of his mouth next!

Picking Pumpkins

In the past week, we were able to visit the pumpkin patch twice! The first time was during the week with friends, Karina Fugett and her little boy Sam.

This weekend, our DeAngelo cousins came to spend the night! Friday night we roasted s'mores over the fire pit and the kids ran around in the yard and played until very late in the night. Then the daddies camped with the kids while the mommies and babies slept inside :)

On Saturday, we spent the day at the pumpkin patch! The kids loved every minute spent on the playground and in the hay bale maze. We were also excited to take a tractor-pulled wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch where we picked our pumpkins!

It was especially fun having our cousins there with us!

It was a perfect weekend spent with family!

Celebration Weekend!

My parents both turned 60 in the past month - so my entire family got together to celebrate! The first item on the agenda was family pictures.

Our favorites were of the grandkids.

 ...and this adequately shows how they feel about it by the end. Ha ha!

That night, Mom, Dad, and all of their kids and spouses took a dinner cruise on a riverboat.
