The Farm, Park, and Iowa

Last week, during the stretch of perfect weather, we visited the farm.

 Ellie milked a cow...

 rode a tractor...

 went on the twisty slide...

wandered through the gardens...

and hung out with her buddy Kenzie.

 Hunter also enjoyed the gardens...

 posed as a flower...

enjoyed snacks and having the wagon all to himself...

and played on the many playgrounds there.

We also took advantage of going to the park in the cooler weather temps.

Over the weekend, we were able to drive up to Iowa City, IA and visit our friends the Wuehlers. We had such a blast talking and hanging out that I took almost no pictures...except for a few when Danika and her 6-year-old Liesel and Ellie and I were out and about in Danika's parents' Mustang Convertible. The girls had such  a blast (so did the mommies).

Ellie loved driving on the freeway :)

Getting cupcakes

We also visited the Children's Museum while we were there. The kids loved it! Hunter liked it so well, he took off the moment we got there...and we all had to split up and find him. Naturally, he was halfway up the stairs to the tall twisty slide :)

 Practicing good dental hygiene habits

 Putting together wooden puzzles

 Twisty slide fun

Airplane pilots

It was a perfect weekend. Our hearts are broken for us (happy for them) that they are moving back to Chicago in a few weeks - right now we're only five hours away. Why weren't we taking advantage of the distance for the past two years guys?? And thanks for hosting us! We can't wait to do it again!
