These two had a date the other day. Steve was excited to take Ellie to Chick-Fil-A. Ellie was excited to "eat at a restaurant" and play at the play-place; she also loved getting ice cream afterwards.
The kids and I had great fun on St. Patrick's Day. We visited the library for cookie decorating - vanilla wafers, frosting and sprinkles.
Then we headed to IHOP for lunch. Since we were all wearing green, we each got a free stack of pancakes! We met some friends there, and even though we waited in the lobby for about 20 minutes with about a hundred other people, the kids (five of them age 3 and under) did a great job of being obedient. They had a blast together.
I continued to be impressed by the kids throughout the meal. Our kids don't get many opportunities to eat in restaurants, but they behaved SO WELL! It was a fun little outing.
We have had the most gorgeous weather the past two weeks (until the past two rainy days). We took full advantage of playing out in the yard, at the park, eating picnic lunches at the kids' picnic table on the deck, taking walks, and going to Heritage Park lake to throw rocks.
The kids loved our Sunday walk around the lake. They were so funny using Steve's words. Ellie would say, "Check this out!" and Hunter would crouch down by the rocks and say, "How 'bout...this one!"
Does he just look like a little cabbage patch doll or what?? And he also looks soooo much like Ellie at five months old!
Twinners!
