February Fun

Here's what our February looked like:

 Hunter loves to put things on his head (even if they're Ellie's...)

 Our cousins Gavin and Owen came to stay for a few days. While they were here, we had a blizzard. So what could we do but eat snow with syrup?

 Hunter is big enough to sit at the little table. The kids think it's great fun to eat snacks there together.

Trust me - a once-a-month update is plenty at the moment. We've had sickies at our house for the past two weeks (ear infections, RSV, sinus infections, sore throats, coughs, etc.) so we haven't been out much. Prior to all the sickness, the kids and I went to the children's museum. We hadn't been in awhile and Ellie loved it! Of course, my two crazies were the ones escaping the room we were in and running pell-mell down the hall (and I'm sure other parents wondered if I knew where my children were or what they were doing...). The kids had a blast. Ellie has mentioned it nearly every day since then, insisting that, "We're going back to the children's museum again soon and this time we're taking Daddy with us!"

She knows what she wants. Just a few other fun things from Ellie: she likes to climb on a chair for the scissors and get herself a Gogurt from the fridge and cut it open and eat it; or cut open a candy cane she finds high on a shelf (while I'm in the shower, of course). Our girl loves the scissors these days. Or she manages to get a hold of a steak knife during dinner and give it to Hunter to hold (yikes!). She has also taken salad dressing from the fridge and dumped it all over the kitchen and Hunter's head. And there's the time she and Hunter dug a grapefruit rind from the trash and plopped themselves down on the kitchen floor (in the middle of every item from my purse, which Ellie had strewn all over the kitchen....) and tried using a spoon to get more grapefruit out of it. Oh, and they each had an orange with a butter knife stuck in it in their other hand - and teeth marks and small bites out of the peel. (I'm telling ya - I couldn't make this stuff up.)

Anyway. We have lots of adventures and escapades daily around here.
